Ralph Edwards, owner/designer
Ralph started in the building trade in the mid-1970s with a hands-on background in all areas of residential construction. He holds a degree in design and was certified in AutoCAD for computer assisted drafting. In 1987, Ralph founded Workable Design in Sacramento, California, as a drafting and permit service, mostly working for contractors to help with the changing building codes and plan submission requirements for various bureaucracies that oversee construction projects. While building the design business, Ralph worked off-and-on in the field. In 1995, design became the focus of his work. Hands-on field experience is an invaluable asset to a designer, providing insight into how a building goes together from multiple fields of expertise, from groundwork to finish.
